August 2013 Home Shrine in Garden

Chris dedicated a Mariengarten entitled “A Nazareth Garden – Flowers of Faith” on June 8, 2013, the 22nd anniversary of Chris and Fred’s Home Shrine entitled “A Nazareth Home, A Holy Family”.  The geranium means beautiful lady for the Blessed Mother, the beautiful lady of the garden.  The ground ivy means “where God has walked” for Fred’s symbol.  The marigold is the rosary plan and is Chris’s symbol.  The bellflower means Bethlehem Star which is the symbol for all their children and grandchildren.

Their Mariengarten Prayer:
“Heavenly Father, we dedicate this Marian garden to the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit) and ask Your blessing upon the Mary statue and the perennial flowers planted here.  May our MTA, the beautiful lady of the garden, distribute gifts, graces, & blessings of faith in abundance to all who look upon it.  And, may the flowers of our faith grow so that we, like this new Marian garden, can become instruments in the hands of our MTA for the renewal of the world through Christ, in the Holy Spirit, to the glory of you, God our loving Father.  Amen.”

The Heavenly Father responded, Lev 26:11-12, “I will establish my dwelling place among you and shall not reject you.  I shall walk among you; I shall be your God & you shall be my people”.

Morning Offering Prayer

Morning Offering

What I bear and endure,
what I say and what I dare,
what I think and what I cherish,
all the merits that I gain,
what I direct and what I conquer,
all my joys and all my sorrows,
what I am and what I have,
I give to you as a gift of love.
Use it so that the holy stream of graces
flowing richly from the shrine
may fill the souls of those
who have given their hearts to Schoenstatt
and gently lead there
all those whom you wish to choose in kindness.
Accept everything that our efforts may be fruitful
which we dedicate to the Trinity.

Father Gerold Langsch Presentations

August 2013 Home Shrine

Susan’s Home Shrine was dedicated Aug 13, 2013 and officiated by Father Joseph Havrilka, pastor of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, IL.  The name of Susan’s Home Shrine is “The Cenacle”.  Her symbol is the sword of St. Michael to fight for his Values.  The mission statement for her Home Shrine was dictated by Father Kentenich on Aug 13, 1944 as part of Schoenstatt’s Little Office for Vespers:

“The sun makes ready for the night and invites us to enter the CENACLE.  There you implored the Spirit for the Church who freed her from the scourge of half-heartedness, guided her to the teaching of Christ and enkindled in her the spirit of the apostles and the martyrs.  That is how you want to work in our shrine:  strengthening our weak eyes of faith so that we might see life as God sees it and always walk by heaven’s light.  In this light of faith let me see how the Father’s love wished to accompany me today.  Let loyalty to our mission be my thanksgiving for the boundless gifts he has showered on me in love.  Glory be joyfully given to the Father through Christ with Mary, highly praised, in the Holy Spirit full of splendor from the universe now and in all eternity.  Amen.”

Home Shrine Prayer

Home Shrine Prayer (written by Father Kentenich in Milwaukee, May 1965)

My room (home) is your shrine,
where you work to the glory of the Father,
There He transforms my entire begin
into the Trinity’s most beloved shrine,
where the sanctuary light constantly burns
and the glow of love never dies;
where the fire of sacrifice upon sacrifice
banishes all selfishness from the heart;
where roses adorn the altar
and lilies never cease to bloom;
where paradisal breezes waft
and raise heart and mind to heaven;
where the spirit of the world cannot enter
as in the eternal city of Sion;
where peace reigns and happiness laughs
because God’s angel keeps diligent watch;
where Christ rules and is triumphant
and leads the whole world to the Father.
